ACADEMIC ADVISING

MTEC Entrance

Proper academic advice is critical to one’s gaining the most from the college experience.  Advisors possess an in-depth understanding of the academic processes and policies that sometimes perplex new or returning students. Advisors can save students time and money by ensuring that course selections fit the degree programs.  They will not always know the answer; however, they will know whom to contact.  At MTEC, we have two on-staff advisors who have particular areas of expertise.

Center Coordinator
Wayne Dillingham is Coordinator of the Middle Tennessee Education Center.  He is responsible for identifying, creating, and delivering educational opportunities and for highlighting the Center’s role in the community.  He manages the Center’s daily operations.  Students wishing to enroll at MTSU and those currently enrolled are welcome to talk with him about their questions or issues.
